Meeting of the waters

Where the black (dark brown) water of the Rio Negro meets the white (light brown) water of the Rio Solimoes. To go on as the Rio Amazonas until the coast. It’s about 10km downstream of Manaus. The two rivers flow side by side without mingling for a few kilometres.

One day tour meeting of the waters

Leaving after breakfast from your hotel at 8.00 am, to go to the waterfront for visiting an old and new fish market. At the waterfront we will take a boat directly to the meeting of the waters. Here will your guide explain about the amazing natural phenomena of the rivers. If you are lucky you see the pink river dolphins. We go on to the narrow creeks inside the Solimoes river until the Iranduba lake. See the Vitoria-Regia, the famous water lilies.

Having lunch in a floating restaurant. In this beautiful aria we will visit a regional native family, and trying to catch some fish. On our way back to Manaus we have the chance to see an amazing sunset. Arriving back in Manaus at 6.00 pm.
